COUPAR Design is the natural evolution of COUPAR Consulting. In 2007, founder and CEO Krista Coupar pioneered combining business consultancy with design industry practices. Our innovative project management and business operations solutions tailored to the design and related communities aligned us with elite architects, builders, artisans, and vendors. Leveraging our industry relationships and years of experience, we now independently produce projects under COUPAR Design while still maintaining our Studio and Marketing divisions.

Meet the Designers

COUPAR Design articulates the homeowner's vision, from a Tudor-style Edwardian in Pacific Heights showcasing jewel-toned hues and classic furnishings to a contemporary Big Sur estate melding an organic color palette with minimalist silhouettes. Our designers listen to clients' dreams, fears, likes, and dislikes to give them a unique home where they live, celebrate holidays and birthdays, and watch the passage of time.

Teresa Kintz // Principal

As a Principal at COUPAR Design, Teresa Kintz sets the aesthetic and operational tone for the company, bridging interior design and tech. Teresa has implemented a high level of organization while keeping a holistic vision for the design process to streamline the client experience. She holds a B.A. in Interior Design from Sacramento State and agrees with Charles Eames, “The details are not the details. They make the design.”

Julia Marani // Design Director

COUPAR Design Director Julia Marani comes from a family in architecture, and it might have been natural for her to choose that profession. Instead, the New York City native chose an adjacent design path with an Art and Architectural History degree from Skidmore College. A passion for art, furniture, fabrics, and finishes led Julia to an interior design career while still exhibiting architectural attention to detail.

Paige Bellante // Senior Lead Designer

Senior Lead Designer Paige Bellante nimbly transferred her skills in visual merchandising to interior design. Before coming to COUPAR, the UCSC graduate worked for companies such as Anthropologie and Nordstrom, creating ephemeral window displays and functional floor plans. The experience taught her space planning and color theory, while retail's tight deadlines dovetailed nicely with designing high-end homes for discerning clients.

Krista Coupar // Founder & CEO

Las Vegas native Krista Coupar is a visionary. As founder and CEO of San Francisco's COUPAR, she is proud to add COUPAR Design to our repertoire. Krista has been a member of Vistage, an elite national group of CEOs, since 2017 and understands the importance of a well-designed business and home. Since 2007, COUPAR has offered innovative solutions for project management and business operations to the design and allied communities. Krista and COUPAR Design are now applying these methods to high-end residential interior design, assembling teams of top-tier collaborators and diligently overseeing all project phases.

Giving to the design community and education, Krista serves on the Host Committee for Enterprise for Youth's (Private) Collections, sponsors The San Francisco Fall Show, serves on the ICAA Northern California Chapter board, and supports the École Notre Dame des Victoires. She has been on podcasts for The Modern Architect and Design Influencers Conference. The Huffington Post profiled her.
